Donald Asher is a consultant to top MBA programs and undergraduate institutions nationwide on hidden-job-market and self-directed-search issues. He has served for over a decade as the keynote speaker for the Career Development Series, a set of national teleconferences sponsored annually by the University of Tennessee.

For almost fifteen years, Don has been taking his lectures and workshops on the road to colleges and universities across the country. From the basic (Careers 101) to the advanced (Graduate Admissions,Cracking the Hidden Job Market) his presentations have one goal—to give every student the tools they need to turn their college dreams into career destinations.

Donald Asher has been the keynote speaker for and three-time-host of the National Teleconference on Graduate Admissions, and has twice served as special guest speaker to the annual conference of the National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals.

He has also been the keynote speaker or a featured presenter for the following organizations and events:

McNair Scholars Program

Donald Asher Presents The McNair Scholars Special Workshop

Dr. Ronald E. McNair was nationally recognized for his work in the field of laser physics. In 1978, he was selected for the NASA space program and was the second African-American to leave the Earth's atmosphere. On January 28, 1986 he, along with six other astronauts, lost his life in the destruction of the Challenger. The McNair Scholars Program is dedicated to preserving his legacy of scholarship and accomplishment.

McNair Scholars Programs are funded by the US Department of Education Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program as part of the Federal TRIO program which includes the McNair Scholars Program, Student Support Services and Upward Bound.
